1. OCI cardholders are required to update their US passport details each time a new passport is issued. If applied within 03 months of the issuance of new passport, no fee will be charged.
2. An OCI card holder obtaining a new passport after attaining the age of 20 years shall be required to give his/her biometric information to the Indian Mission/Post or FRRO concerned at the time of updation of details on the online system or at the Immigration Post at the time of first entry or departure.
3. Updation of passport details after 03 months of receipt of new passport will be processed only after payment of the following applicable fees:
● Consular Fee: USD 25
● ICWF Fee: USD 3
● VFS Service Fee: USD 19
4. Applicants must first complete the prescribed online Miscellaneous OCI Services application for updating passport particulars.
5. No physical OCI application is required to be submitted to VFS or the Consulate for this service.
6. Payment must be made to the VFS Centre having jurisdiction over the Consulate that originally issued the OCI Card.

Applicants should retain the payment receipt/confirmation issued by VFS for future reference.
8. Consulate to process the OCI passport particulars update request only after receiving payment confirmation from VFS. Applicants are therefore advised to allow sufficient time for VFS to transmit the payment details to the concerned Post.
9. Submission of the online application alone does not constitute completion of the process. The application will be taken up for processing only after payment verification.
10. Applicants should ensure that the details entered in the online application, including OCI Card Number and New Passport Number, are accurate and match the information provided to VFS.
11. For any payment-related issues or non-receipt of payment confirmation, applicants should contact the concerned VFS Centre before approaching the Consulate.
12. Upon grant of the Miscellaneous service by the Indian Mission, the system shall generate an updated e-OCI card registration incorporating the approved changes. The updated e-OCI card may be downloaded by the applicant.
