Dr. K. Srikar Reddy before taking over as the Consul General of India at San Francisco, served at the Department of Commerce, Government of India as Joint Secretary where he oversaw India’s commercial relations with countries in Africa and the Middle-East. He was the Chief Negotiator of India for the India-Mauritius Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (CECPA) and India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) that entered into force on 01 April 2021 and 01 May 2022 respectively.
He joined the Indian Foreign Service in the year 2001 and served in various positions at Indian Missions including Germany and Switzerland. Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the World Trade Organization (WTO) from August 2014 to October 2017. He was India's Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from October 2017 to March 2020.

The website for the helpline is www.ncwwomenhelpline.in. The round-the-clock helpline provides online support to women affected by violence or mental stress through referral by linking them with appropriate authorities such as police, health services, District Legal Service Authority. National Commission for Women also provides counselling services and information about women related programmes across the country through a single uniform number. Persons of Indian origin holding an OCI or PIO Card:
OCI and PIO card holders do not have to apply for a visa. However, they have to apply for a No Objection Certificate/Project Clearance Certificate at the Consulate General of India, San Francisco, by submitting the following documents:

The Government of India has decided to issue fresh tourist visas with effect from 15 October, 2021 for group tourism by chartered flights and from 15 November, 2021 for individual travel. In this context, the following may be noted:
All foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism will be allowed to enter India on e-Tourist Visa/regular paper Tourist Visa through chartered flights (for group tourism only) with effect from 15 October, 2021.
All foreign nationals intending to visit India for individual tourism purposes will be permitted to enter India on e-Tourist Visa/regular paper Tourist Visa with effect from 15 November, 2021.
Foreign nationals will not be allowed to enter India through land routes on e-Tourist Visa/regular paper Tourist Visa.

Outsourcing of Visa Services to VFS Global
It is informed that with effect from 13 December, 2021 (12:01 AM PST), VFS Global will start accepting visa applications. A service fee of US$ 15.90 (inclusive of all taxes) per application will be charged, in addition to applicable Government of India fees for these services.

Emergency Entry Visa Guidelines

Emergency Visa
With effect from 13 December, 2021 (12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time), the outsourcing service provider – VFS Global – will start accepting all visa applications, including Emergency Visa applications. Our advisory in this regard may be seen at (hyper link for public notice on visa outsourcing).
The Emergency Visa service is only for US passport holders of Indian origin and their family members required to visit India due to a genuine family emergency, such as critical illness or death of a family member. Documentary evidence will need to be provided and the applicant will be charged an emergency service fee.
The non-emergency visa applicants can apply for a regular Entry Visa through VFS Global, without submission of any emergency documentation or reason for travel to India, subject to eligibility conditions. Processing of such applications will be as per normal procedures.
