Over 25 members of CAPEXIL participated at the Coverings 2022 - Ceramic Tile and Natural Stone Exhibition in Las Vegas. The Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad inaugurated the India Pavilion which was set up under the auspices of CAPEXIL. The Consul General interacted with all the Indian exporters of tiles and natural stones at the Exhibition and the general feedback was very encouraging for the Indian exports to USA. - April 12, 2022
The Consulate General of India, San Francisco in association with Cupertino-Bhubaneswar Sister City initiative organized “Purab” Festival in the beautiful surroundings of Memorial Park in Cupertino. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad speaking on the occasion thanked the Mayor of Cupertino Mr. Darcy Paul for hosting the event and appreciated the efforts of Mr. Mahesh Pakala and Ms. Reena Rao in putting together a beautiful event. Consul General also thanked the presence of several elected representatives including Indian origin Mayor of Foster City Ms. Richa Awasthi. He also appreciated the presence of a star singer from Odisha Mr. Swayam Padhi. The event also has promoted handicrafts, music and dance, jewellery, textiles from Eastern India and the backdrop of Konark Temple for the stage stole the show. - April 06, 2022
Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad had a productive session with Ambassador Atul Keshap and his colleagues Mr. Ryan Miller and Mr. Jay Gullish at US-India Business Council (USIBC). The Silicon Andhra University celebrated “Shubhakruthu” Ugadi at the beautifully decorated hall at their University. The traditional Panchanga shravanam and Kavitha goshti were held with Shri Marepalli Nagavenkata Sarma conducting proceedings on Panchanga Shravanam. The achievements of Silicon Andhra in promoting Kuchipudi dance, Indian music and the Indian languages are highly appreciated. The Consul General of India Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad while appreciating their initiatives in promoting culture and language conveyed good wishes for their expansion plans in the University. He particularly appreciated the passion with which Shri Anand Kuchibotla has been pursuing the objectives of the Silicon Andhra University. - April 06, 2022
The Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) organized a day long Ugadi celebrations in Milpitas with participation of over 2000 people. The celebrations included promotion of Indian culture including dance competitions, jewellery, textiles, handicrafts and Indian food. The cultural programmes including plays have been highly appreciated by the large audience at India Cultural Centre (ICC), Milpitas. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad graced the occasion and appreciated Ms. Vijaya Asuri, Mr. Ramesh Konda and the entire team of BATA for organizing successful celebrations of Telugu New Year “Shubhakruthu” in a befitting manner. They also made the celebrations as part of 75 years of Independence of India. Congratulations to BATA on their 50 years of existence in Bay Area. The celebrations also included the celebrity singer Ms. Manisha Eerabathini from Tollywood. - April 06, 2022

The Consulate General of India, San Francisco in its outreach, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organized a Make in India event in Phoenix, Arizona on 28 March 2022. The Business community and prominent Indians participated at the event which included a cultural programme followed by a presentation by Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad on recent economic reforms and opportunities for investments in India in sectors including IT, Healthcare, Pharma, Energy and Education. He thanked the contributions of Mr. Venkat Kommineni, the Community Leader and the Indian Association of Phoenix (IAPH) for supporting this event and all the participants for gracing the occasion. Indian American International Chamber of Commerce, Arizona led by Shri Kommineni has also partnered with the event. There was keen interest in the reforms and the community was interested in giving back to their motherland, which is highly appreciated. - April 06, 2022
Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad interacted with Arizona State University (ASU) Dean Kyle Squires, Ram Pendyala of ASU School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEB) and other faculty members during his visit. He also met Ms. Julia Rosen of ASU Global Launch and with Mr. Moninder ‘Holly’ Singh, Assistant Vice President for International Students and Scholars Center (AVP) to discuss avenues for collaboration with Indian Universities/Institution of Higher Learning. ASU has already initiated some collaboration with some institutions in India including OP Jindal Global Institute. About 4600 Indian students are on campus at ASU. Most of the Indian students and Indian origin Faculty members at ASU are in STEM areas. There is a vast potential for cooperation in Education space, particularly after the New Education Policy was launched in 2021. - April 01, 2022

Nagendra Prasad had a fruitful interaction with Ms. Jennifer Larson, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State (DAS) and Mr. Jonathan Baas, Economic Officer, India Desk in San Francisco. They reviewed India-US economic relations and ways to further strengthen trade and investment relations. Ms. Larson and Mr. Baas also participated at ‘Purab Fest’ organized by the Consulate General of India San Francisco and Cupertino Bhubaneswar Sister City. - April 01, 2022
A virtual Round Table Conference was held by Consulate General of India – San Francisco in honour of visiting delegation from Telangana led by Shri KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Industries, MA & UD, The event was organised as part of promoting investments and technology in to States. It showcased Advantage - India with demographic dividend, economic growth, PLI scheme, #AtmanirbharBharat etc. The visiting Minister appreciated the participation of prominent investors from #BayArea who expressed keen interest in investing across the sectors. The Indian Community has celebrated Holi along with local people in huge numbers in Bay Area. The lively celebrations included Indian music, dance and food. The large events were particularly held by Festival of Globe and Association of Indian Americans which witnessed participation by locally elected representatives. - March 22, 2022
As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav events and also to promote India's exports, the Consulate General of India, San Francisco organised a India-Heritage Bazaar at Shiva-Vishnu Temple in Livermore. Consul General inaugurated the Bazaar and emphasised on increasing awareness about Indian handicrafts ranging from textiles to metals while mentioning the call of Hon'ble Prime Minister to promote 75 products during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Heritage Bazaar attracted hundreds of people in Bay Area with some of the local sellers setting up their stall at the Bazaar. The range of products displayed ranged from Paintings, Jewellery, Handlooms, Yoga, Ayurveda, Silverware, etc. A Heritage Conservationist Ms. Paul also spoke on the occasion emphasizing on the rich diversity of handicrafts produced in India. Vice-Mayor of San Ramon Mr. Sridhar Verose was also present on the occasion. - March 22, 2022
Launch of Radio Mirchi Global App - Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad has launched Radio Mirchi Global App of the Times Group in Fremont which is intended to cover Bay Area. Mr. Farhad Wadia, Head-North America of the Times Group, local elected leaders and Radio Mirchi Team were present on the occasion. - March 22, 2022
Ambassador Taranjit S Sandhu had an engaging discussion with Padma Shri Dr. Romesh Wadhwani on strengthening US-India relations in the areas of IT, AI, Healthcare and Education. Dr. Wadhwani detailed the activities of Wadhwani Institute of Technology and Policy and Wadhwani Foundation in India on upskilling, etc. Ambassador appreciated Wadhwani Foundation's philanthropic work and also in the field of skilling/ upskilling India's youth in various sectors. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad had a productive meeting with Hawaii Governor David Ige in Honolulu. Consul General and Governor had discussed the growing India-US relations including cooperation and strengthening the Sister State relationship between Goa-Hawaii and Honolulu-Mumbai Sister City relationship. The 'Aloha'spirit and 'Yoga' were compared. Governor welcomed the proposal to hold a cultural event in Honolulu to celebrate #AmritMahotsav. He responded positively to visit Goa to take forward the Sister state relationship for which the MoU was signed in the year 2018. - March 17, 2022
Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad joined the celebration of ‘Unity in Diversity’ organized by the Indo American Community Federation (IACF-USA) in Fremont. He addressed the gathering and appreciated the panel discussion on Racial Equity and Hate Crimes with panelists Attorney General Rob Bonta, US Congressman Ro Khanna, Fremont Mayor Lily Mei, Councilmember Raj Salwan, Presidential Adviser Ajai Bhutoria, Mr. Yogi Chugh, Mr. Joe Johal etc., elected leaders, senior officials & community leaders were present on the occasion. Consul General in his address dealt on India’s diversity, democratic & pluralistic character and appreciated IACF-USA for its 21st Unity Dinner and landed its steadfast resolve in organising annual event. He congratulated and thanked particularly Mr. Jeevan Zutshi and Mr. Ramesh Konda of IACF-USA for organizing the event. - March 16, 2022

Nagendra Prasad in Honolulu met and interacted with the faculty of Indian origin of the University of Hawaii – Manao campus (UHManao) and discussed the areas of their work, National (New) Education Policy (NEP) of India and holding events under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ #AmritMahotsav on the campus etc., He thanked Ms. Sai Bhatawadekar, Dr. Anna Stirr, Mr Ashok Das - Department of Urban & Regional Planning and Prof. Sankaran Krishnan for the very engaging interaction. He appreciated their activities to help local communities (#manavaseva) in association with local authorities besides facilities for #madhavaseva. The Consulate General of India in San Francisco celebrated ‘India Food Festival’ as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. At the Food Festival organized in association with M/S Shastha Foods in Bay Area was attended by over 150 people across the spectrum of Indian community and Diplomatic Corps in San Francisco. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad emphasized on Indo-US relations and significance of rich diversity of food of India.
