IIT Madras Director Prof. Veezhinathan Kamakoti spoke of the immense potential in connecting talent, technology, and capital across borders. IITM Global CEO Thirumalai Madhavnarayan outlined the platform's expansion across five markets — US, UAE, Germany, UK, and Malaysia — with a focus on deep-tech commercialization in AI, semiconductors, climate tech, and advanced manufacturing. The event, organized by the IITMAANA Bay Area Chapter in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, San Francisco, and opened by its President Naren Nayak, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and diaspora leaders from across Silicon Valley. Startups spanning AI, aviation, climate tech, and health tech showcased India's growing deep-tech momentum, with founders making the case that India has the talent and the technology, and Silicon Valley offers the networks and capital to scale it. Representing the cohort were Mohan Raj Makkuni, founder of Greenvironment; Rishy George, co-founder of Zerowatt; Dr. Satya Chakravarthy, founder of The ePlane Company; Manoj Bharadhwaj, founder of ATRI AI and Nikkita Seth of Neurostellar.
