Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy delivered Keynote address at India Spotlight: Strategic insights on Global Capability Centers(GCC) hosted jointly by ICICI Bank @ICICIBank, Tata Consultancy services @tcs_n and JLL @JL in San Francisco on 11 February, 2026. Buoyed by the historic India-US trade agreement, CG also pitched India as an attractive destination for GCCs. GCCs in India employ over 1.9 million professionals, representing a USD~65 billion market, expected to grow at a CAGR of 10.2% by 2030. Leading US firms like Amazon, Apple, Meta, Nvidia, Amgen and others have opened GCCs in various cities in India. With recent budget providing tax holiday until 2047 for foreign firms providing cloud services to customers globally using data center services from India and enhancement of the threshold for availing safe harbour margin of 15.5% for IT services from 300 crore rupees to 2,000 crore rupees, it is expected that GCC landscape will continue to grow in India in the years ahead.
