Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad was the Chief of Guest at the grand Diwali celebrations in Fremont organised by Federation of Indian American (FIA) and Festival of Globe (FOG) under the leadership of Dr. Romesh Japra. Present in the event Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein, Fremont Mayor Lily Mei, Fremont Councilmember Raj Salwan and actor Omi Vaidya. The event was attended by the India community in large numbers and states of Telangana, Odisha, Punjab, UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, etc., presented their traditional dances. Telangana celebrated ‘Bathukamma’ in a traditional way. Consul General appreciated the enthusiasm and coordination by Dr. Japra. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad was presented a plaque for support of the Consulate General of India, San Francisco. Consul General also appreciated Mr. Mahesh Pakala for his encouragement and anchorship.
