Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy addressed the IIT Bay Area Leadership Conference 2025 at the Santa Clara Convention Centre. Elucidating the contributions of IITians in USA, he shared his insights on how IITians in USA, and Silicon Valley in particular could contribute to Indian nation building. CG also briefed the audience on the broader aspects of India- US relations and various initiatives of Government of India for Indian Diaspora including the opening up of new Consulates in Los Angeles & Boston, and nine new Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs), including one in San Jose.
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy virtually interacted with around 500 Indian students from 22 campuses of California State University. The interaction covered educational, student welfare and visa-related issues. CSU hosts approximately 6500 Indian student population. Dr. Jaishankar Raman, Executive Director of International Affairs California State University, who facilitated the interaction also joined the interaction.

Consulate General of India, San Francisco in collaboration with ITServe, Tie Silicon Valley and GITPro organized a Discussion Forum with NASSCOM's DeepTech startup delegation on September 11th, 2025, at the Consulate office. Consul(Commerce) Mr. Abhishek Kumar Sharma welcomed the NASSCOM delegation from India along with Silicon Valley tech leaders and investors at the Consulate office, emphasizing the growing partnership between India’s vibrant startup ecosystem and the Bay Area’s center of innovation.
Consulate General of India, San Francisco in collaboration with Indiaspora organized an interactive session with Startup Policy Forum (SPF)'s startup delegation visiting from India on September 4th, 2025, at the Consulate office.

Acting Consul General Rakesh Adlakha participated in the grand Onam celebration organized by the Malayalee Association of Northern California(MANCA), which brought together nearly 3,000 members of the Malayalee community and featured the traditional Onam Sadhya prepared by Pazhayidam Mohanan Namboothiri, renowned chef and culinary expert from Kerala.

On the eve of the 79th Independence Day of India, the Mountain View Sports and Recreation Club organized a community parade to mark the occasion. Consul Jaswant Singh represented the Consulate General of India, San Francisco, at the event and joined members of the Indian diaspora in celebrating India’s Independence Day with patriotic spirit.
Acting Consul General Rakesh Adlakha inaugurated the India Pavilion at the Sourcing at Magic, Las Vegas on 18 August, in which 68 Indian exporters are participating coordinated by AEPC. He also visited the booths and interacted with Indian exporters.

A remarkable feat in the journey of 'Consulate at Your Doorstep' Consulate General of India, San Francisco is pleased to announce the launch of a new Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in San Jose, expanding outreach to serve the Indian community in and around San Jose. Ambassador of India H. E. Mr. Vinay Kwatra virtually inaugurated the Centre along with other new ICACs across the US. At the ICAC in San Jose, Consul General Dr. Srikar Reddy was joined by diaspora leaders.
