Acting Consul General Rakesh Adlakha participated in the Goa Tourism Road Show held in Fremont, California on 16 August 2025. Shri Sanjeev Ahuja, Secretary (Tourism), Govt of Goa made a presentation on Goa Tourism in the presence of a large number of local travel agencies, hotels and prominent diaspora members.

Acting Consul General Rakesh Adlakha inaugurated the India Pavilion at the Sourcing at Magic, Las Vegas on 18 August, in which 68 Indian exporters are participating coordinated by AEPC. He also visited the booths and interacted with Indian exporters.
The 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated at the historic Gadar Memorial in San Francisco. Consul General Dr. K. A remarkable feat in the journey of 'Consulate at Your Doorstep' Consulate General of India, San Francisco is pleased to announce the launch of a new Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in San Jose, expanding outreach to serve the Indian community in and around San Jose. Ambassador of India H. E. Mr. Vinay Kwatra virtually inaugurated the Centre along with other new ICACs across the US. At the ICAC in San Jose, Consul General Dr. Srikar Reddy was joined by diaspora leaders.
Hon'ble Minister of IT, Government of Maharashtra Shri Ashish Shelar @ShelarAshish delivered the keynote address at @USIBC LA Waves Summit held at @netflix HQ on July 30, 2025. He invited the US entertainment industry to invest in Maharashtra. Consul General, Dr. Srikar Reddy, also delivered a special address at event, highlighting the multifaceted relationship between California and India, including the significant potential for collaboration in the media and entertainment sector.
A befitting musical tribute to the messenger of Indian wisdom to the west ! Consulate General of India, San Francisco partnered with Vedanta Society, Berkeley, in paying a musical tribute to Swami Vivekananda as part of celebrations to mark 125th anniversary of his visit to the Bay Area. A cavalcade of eminent Indian artists including Dr. L Subramaniam, Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri, Sri Rakesh Chaurasia, Smt. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande and Sr. Ambi Subramanian gave mesmerizing performances much to the delight of a large number of gathering at Center for the Performing Arts, San Jose on 26 July, 2025.
Dr. Srikar Reddy, Consul General of India, was honored to witness the live telecast of #NISAR satellite launch from Satish Dhawan Space Center, India, right here at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California along with Charles Elachi, former Director of NASA JPL, Randy Friedl, Deputy Director, Earth Science & Technology, and distinguished scientists/engineers associated with the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) project at NASA JPL. The IT Minister of Maharashtra interacted with a few prominent entrepreneurs from the Bay Area and informed them about the business-friendly measures taken by the new state government and investment opportunities in Maharashtra .
Attorney General of India Shri. R. Venkataramani accompanied by Consul General Dr. K Srikar Reddy met Attorney General of California Mr. Rob Bonta, at the premises of the Consulate General of India - San Francisco, and discussed fostering mutually beneficial networks between India and California. Consulate General of India, San Francisco, celebrated the 11th #InternationalDayofYoga2025 near the iconic Golden Gate Bridge on 21 June 2025. Yoga enthusiasts and dignitaries, including members of the Consular Corps, and people from various walks of life from the Bay Area, joined the yoga session. Acting Consul General Shri Rakesh Adlakha welcomed all and highlighted the 2025 IDY theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” urging everyone to adopt yoga for lifelong wellness of mind, body, and spirit. Special thanks to Art of Living, Brahma Kumaris, Isha Foundation, and other yoga and community organizations for their meaningful participation. t a success.
On 01 June 2025, Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, along with CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - ICAI & other dignitaries, inaugurated the ICAI Los Angeles Chapter—its 53rd overseas & 13th in the USA. Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy congratulated ICAI for this milestone and appreciated the good work done by ICAI's chapters across Consulate General of India - San Francisco's jurisdiction.
Consulate @ Your Doorstep ! On June 1, 2025, Consulate General of India - San Francisco, in collaboration with India Association of Northern Nevada and Garry N Sun USA , organized a highly successful Consular Camp in Reno, Nevada under the initiative— 'Consulate @ Your Doorstep'. We are happy to share that close to 150 individuals benefited from various consular services provided during the camp. A big 'thank you' to the partners, and the community for making this event a success.
