Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad hoisted the Indian National Flag at a great event in Milpitas, California to celebrate #HarGharTiranga as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The event was organised by the Association of Indo Americans (AIA). Thousands of people joined the parade and rally behind a giant flag. Consul General thanked the participations of elected officials, Milpitas Mayor Rich Tran, Santa Clara Supervisor Cindy Chavez, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, Cupertino Mayor Darcy Paul, East Palo Alto Mayor Ruben Abrica, San Ramon Mayor Dave Hudson and Milpitas Chief of Police Jared Hernandez. Consul General appreciated the community leaders of Bay Area Telegu Association (BATA), Bay Area Tamil Manram (SFBATM), Malayalee Association of Northern California (MANCA) etc.
