Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad presented Heart Saver Award / Lifetime Achievement Award to well known Indian origin cardiologist Dr. Brijesh Bhambi in Bakersfield. The Mayor Karen Goh, District Attorney, Judge, Sheriff Mr.Youngblood and several senior officials of Bakersfield were present on the occasion. As the “Save a Heart Foundation” (SAHF) is active in Israel, the Consul General of Israel in LA congratulated Dr. Bhambi. Consul General in his address appreciated the contributions of Indian community both professionally and socially to the local communities and economy.

Several speakers have appreciated the extraordinary services of Dr. Brijesh Bhambi over a long time.  Dr. Bhambi in his address informed about his plans to provide a scholarship to one post-graduate student from Punjab every year to get trained cardiology in USA.  He also announced that he will have a mission for elevating healthcare in the land of his birth Punjab, taking a leaf from SAHF.  He also conveyed gratitude to his mentors in India and in USA for his professional growth.
