The Telugu New Year ‘Ugadi’ was Celebrated at University of Silicon Andhra in Milpitas on March 25, 2023. On the auspicious occasion, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shree awardee and former Member of Parliament Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad presented his lifetime collection of books of about 15,000 to the library named after him at Silicon Andhra University.

 Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad was the Guest of honor at the celebrations and inaugurated the Library. Consul General in his remarks conveyed New Year greetings to all telugus and also appreciated the initiatives and passionate work by Dr. Anand Kuchibhotla and his team. He also mentioned about India’s growth story and significance of preserving and promoting one’s own culture. Similarly, Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad also highly appreciated the promotion of Indian culture particulalrly languag, dance and music by Silicon Andhra. About 500 people attended the event.
