The Consulate General of India San Francisco held ‘Mango Festival’ at @Tajcampton in #SanFrancisco. Popular varieties like Banganpalli & Kesar known for their distinct flavor were on display. Several creative mango dishes were prepared by Chef Thomas from mangoes arrived from India.

Several Consuls General based in San Francisco, local entrepreneurs, leading community members were present on the occasion.
Consul General in his address briefed on India’s agricultural production, exports, Sri anna (Millets) and rich diversity of Mango varieties besides India being the largest producer of ‘King of Fruits’. He also thanked Agricultural and Processed Food Products #Export Development Authority (#APEDA) for making it possible
Padma Vibhushan Ustad Zakir Hussain @ZakirHtabla graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and spoke about significance of Indian mangoes.
