Celebration of Bharat’s eternal traditions ! On May 30,Consulate General of India - San Francisco hosted an insightful discussion titled “Perspective on Mahakumbh 2025” in collaboration with Stanford’s US-Asia Technology Management Center (US-ATMC) and the Institute for Competitiveness (IFC).

Consul General Dr. K Srikar Reddy highlighted key organizational and infrastructural milestones achieved by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government of India in preparation for the Maha Kumbh 2025 — a monumental pilgrimage event that welcomed over 663 million visitors in its previous edition. The event featured engaging presentations by Mr. Amit Kapoor, Chairman of IFC, and Dr. Richard Dasher, Director of US-ATMC, offering global perspectives on the scale, management, and cultural significance of the Kumbh Mela. A captivating photographic presentation titled “Joys of Kumbh: A Photographic Expedition” was delivered by Conor Martin, an independent photographer. His work beautifully captured the diverse cultural tapestry and spiritual essence of the Kumbh Mela. Prominent pilgrims from the San Francisco Bay Area shared heartfelt reflections and cherished memories of their sacred experiences at the Triveni Sangam.
