The Association of Indian Americans (AIA), an umbrella organisation of 38 Indian associations in Bay Area celebrated virtually the 72nd Republic Day of India. Over ten elected members including Mayors, Assembly Members, Senators and a Supervisor participated in the celebrations (State Senator Dave Cortese, Mayor Libby Schaaf, Mayor Lily Mei, Mayor David Haubert, Assembly Member Ash Kalra, Council Member Raj Chahal and Council Member Raj Salwan). All the elected members have greeted Indians on the occasion of Republic day and hailed the largest democracy in the world. Some of the speakers from the elected members have highly appreciated # Vaccine Maitri and India’s fight against Covid.
