About Us Apply through SEWA- Indian Consular Services System

  • Please visit the website (https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/)  for availing various Miscellaneous Consular Services through Online Consular Services System (SEWA Portal).

  • Please Sign up and create your account using the above weblink. Activation of your account will be done by using OTP received on your registered email ID. Once your account is activated, please login to your account and apply for the required miscellaneous consular service. Users can avail multiple services with the same account. Users may follow each step and fulfill the requirements of online application process including uploading the documents and submitting the same on the portal.

  • For better experience, this portal may be accessed preferably in Firefox internet browser.

  • Applicants are required to upload NOTARIZED copies only of all required documents.

  • On successful submission of the application, a provisional acknowledgment receipt will be generated which the applicant can print after login to his/her account. Applicants are required to provide a copy of acknowledgement receipt along with the physical documents mailed to Consulate.

  • After scrutiny of the documents by the Consulate, the applicant will receive a confirmation message regarding submission of physical application and payment of fees. It can be seen in the dashboard of his/her account.

  • Payment of fee can be made through Cashier’s Cheque/Money Order/Demand Draft in favor of Consulate General of India, San Francisco. Please note that Personal Cheques are NOT allowed.

  • Please make sure that all required documents are notarized before mailing it to Consulate. For the list of required documents and fee details, please click: “Documents Requirement/Fee Details”-

  • Applicant must provide a trackable pre-paid return mailing envelope (USPS 'Express Mail' or UPS etc.) (No Fedex) for dispatching the processed documents/certificates to his/her address.

  • The notarized copies of the documents will be matched and verified with the uploaded documents. On verification of the same, service will be rendered to the applicant.

  • Please note that no walk-in consular services will be provided at the Consulate. Miscellaneous Consular Services will be rendered through postal mode only.
