Consul General of India, Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad had joined an insightful brain storming of the leaders of Medical Device Development, Medical Technology and Digital Health Tech-Professionals, Smart Garment Device Development professionals led by Mr. Arjun Malhotra and Dr. Dinesh Vyas in Bay Area at M/s Aviant. The innovations in medical equipment sphere are highly valuable and appreciated.

A delegation of the Southern Chamber of Commerce & Industry #(SICCI) which is visiting California to explore opportunities of collaboration with US companies met Deputy Consul General Rakesh Adlakha. The discussions focused on opportunities California offers in various sectors for Indian companies.
Consul General [CG] Dr. K. Srikar Reddy met with prominent members of Indian diaspora in Fresno at a welcome reception hosted by entrepreneur Jay Gill. CG invited them to be part of India's growth story and it's desire to become a developed country @2047. Fresno is home to around 40,000 members of Indian diaspora, including a large number from the state of Punjab. Many Indian Americans are successful farmers and grow Almonds, Pistachios, Grapes, and Oranges. Almonds from California contribute around 50% of US agricultural exports to India and expected to cross $1 billion in 2024
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy's paid floral tributes at the bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Peace Garden at Fresno State Univeristy [FSU] yesterday. He also met with members of Indian faculty Dr.Sudharshan Kapoor, Dean Ram Nunna, Dr.Veena Howard, and Dr.Srini Konduru, and held discussions for enhancing collaboration of FSU with Indian Higher educational institutions. He also visited the Gandhi Center at FSU. Around 375 Indian students are currently pursuing their higher studies at FSU. FSU has an MoU for collaboration with Punjab Agricultural Univeristy, Ludhiana, India.
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy had a fruitful discussion with Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer on exploring opportunities between India and Fresno. They discussed the contribution of the vibrant Indian community to Fresno's growth, particularly in areas of almond farming, healthcare, etc
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy paid tribute to the Gadar Martyrs at the 22nd Annual Gadar Commemorative Function hosted by the Indo American Heritage Forum in Fresno. He emphasized the importance of the Gadar Movement and the sacrifices of its martyrs. President Navdeep Singh Dhaliwal and Secretary Harjinder Singh Dhesi warmly welcomed the Consul General. Hundreds gathered at the Performing Arts Centre of Central High School Fresno to honor the bravery and resilience of those involved in the movement. Dr. Reddy also highlighted available consular services for the community, urging continued commemoration of the Gadar Martyrs' enduring legacy.
Consul General [CG] Dr. K. Srikar Reddy visited San Francisco State University, where he delivered the inaugural Madhav Bhai Patel lecture. He shared invaluable insights on the Indian economy and the business climate in India with over 120 students of the Lam Family College of Business. Prof.Bruce Heiman and Dean Eugene Sivadas welcomed the CG and extended gratitude for an informative and exciting talk.
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy visited Masjid e Mohammed in Fremont to commemorate the sacred occasion of Ramadan with the Dawoodi Bohra community. This special visit coincided with one of the holiest nights in the Dawoodi Bohra calendar, lalit- ul- Qadr- Night of Power highlighting the values of unity, compassion, and reflection cherished during Ramadan.
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy attended the Indian Community Interfaith Iftar celebration at Masjid Zakaria in Fremont! A heartwarming gathering with over 800 attendees, organized by Muslim organizations from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and beyond. Together, we celebrate unity in diversity.
Consul General [CG] Dr. K. Srikar Reddy along with the Pacific President Christopher Callahan inaugurated the new Cricket pitch today at the University of the Pacific . CG held discussions with President Callahan and senior faculty members regarding enhancing collaboration with Indian educational institutions. CG also interacted with students and members of Indian community based in Stockton. About 450 Indian students, which is about 50% of total international students, are studying at the University of Pacific. Speaking on the occasion, CG highlighted the growing interest in cricket across the United States, especially with the U.S. hosting ICC T20 World Cup matches in June this year.
Deputy Consul General Mr. Rakesh Adlakha inaugurated the India Pavilion at National Hardware Show 2024 taking place from 26-28 March, 2024 at Las Vegas. Around 65 Indian companies dealing in hardware, tools, coir products, etc. are participating in the Show. #ITPO has coordinated participation of a large number of Indian companies in the Show with the support of #DoC. DCG also met representatives of Indian companies and discussed prospects of enhancing exports to USA in this sector
Consul General Dr. K Srikar Reddy participated in the 647th Parkash Purab Celebration of Shri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj at Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Bay Area, Union City, California. Hundreds of devotees participated in the celebration, which included worship, discourses on the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj, and special langar. The event, led by Mr. Vinod Kumar Chumber, spreads the message of divinity, peace, universal brotherhood and compassion as preached by Shri Guru Ravidass Ji through his all-pervasive philosophy, life and works.
Consul General Dr.K.Srikar Reddy graced the 17th Indian Music & Dance Festival on March 23rd in San Diego, organized by the Indian Fine Arts Academy of San Diego under the leadership of Shekar Viswanathan. Consul General presented life time achievement [Vidya Nidhi] awards to eminent artists in Indian classical music- Dr.T.Bakthavathsalam, Mannargudi Eswaran, Vijaya Siva, Dr.Gowri Ramnarayanan, K.Harishankar, and RK Shriramkumar. He also interacted with Padma Bhushan Sudha Ragunathan, an Indian Carnatic Vocalist, who performed at the event.
The First ever Consular camp was held by India in USA (Consulate General of India, San Francisco) and VFS Global at San Diego in California on March 23, 2024. There was an enthusiastic response from the community in San Diego. Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy appreciated Mr.Sam kambo from Royal India Restaurant and Ms. Rajshree Mudaliar,from House of India & the entire Team of Volunteers and other Community Associations for making the camp a success . About 300 people turned out for various services including attestations.
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy joined in the vibrant celebration of Holi with the San Diego Indian community at Westview Park.Hosted by the non-profit organization Connect Desi in Videsi, it was a colorful and joyous occasion filled with cultural exchange and unity.
Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy met with Dr. Vivek Lall, Chief Executive of General Atomics Global Corporation in San Diego and had a good discussion about enhancing collaboration with Indian companies in areas of AI, semiconductors, and drones.
